This examination will teach the candidate the practical use of a word processor for the creation and revision of type written text.

Practical Data Processing
 
This examination will help a candidate in the operation of a database or record management software on a microcomputer applied to commonly used business applications such as personal records, stock records, and general customer services.

Practical Spreadsheet Processing 
 
This examination helps the candidate in the operation of a spreadsheet package and create and maintain spreadsheet files on a computer when applied to a number of applications. The applications will include general customer services, business accounts, personnel records and sales records.

Desktop Publishing
 
This examination will help the candidate to apply the concepts of desktop publishing and basic display skills, and to use the software to produce simple single sheet leaflets.

Syllabus
Set a page with specified margins, Import text and headings, Import graphics, 
Understand and apply terms like point, font, serif, typeface, rule etc., Display using facilities available, such as boxes, borders, shading etc., Amend by changing text /layout with no more than 2 typefaces, Save and Print documents
 
 
 
Computerized Accounts
 
This examination will help a candidate in the operation of computerized accounts software /packages applied to routine accounting tasks.

Syllabus
Add new accounts to Purchase / Sales Ledgers, Create accounts in the Nominal Ledger, Process information in respect of the Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger, Calculate and reconcile all Batch Totals as required, Print out copies of ledgers, balances and accounts as requested.
