When you think about it, feet are the seat of your well-being. While
you can't change their shape, you can do everything possible to ensure that they are well-cared for --- conditioned and free of such problems as corns and bunions.Dry skin is easily dealt with by using a foot cream after washing
and thorough
drying. Hard
skin may not bother you until it builds up into hard ridges, so
prevent this from an early stage or treat it now if it's already
established. There are various methods-- the pumice stone for instance or a synthetic foot sponge.
Massaging with a sponge or stone gradually removes the layers of hard skin - always remember to dry feet thoroughly and moisturize
afterwards. Toe nails need careful cutting; straight across is recommended, because if you try to shape them into a curve you are weakening the side of the nail and this may encourage in-growing toe nails. If the corner of a nail is beginning to grow into the skin, try cutting a slight v-shape from the centre of the
nail. Corns
are painful and you know it if you have them . |
|
They have centers which need to be removed. There are treatments to buy, but follow the instructions carefully. Otherwise, seek the advice of a doctor Bunions are the result of pressure from ill-fitting shoes. A bump builds up, surrounded by fluid. There's no home treatment. Change to better fitting shoes and ask your doctor about
treatment.
Massage for feet: Some people hate it, but many adore it, finding foot massage a tremendous relief after a long day. Sounds wonderful and it ties up with the theory of reflexology, which is the art of foot manipulation based on the belief that various points on the soles relate to different parts of the body. Massage sandals are available too.
