Hair Extensions add versatility to a hairstyle. They can be used to add volume, length or highlights to the hair. Hair Extensions can be of real human hair, or synthetic or monofibre hair.Whatever the look, Extensions have colour, style and length to make it happen. The latest in Hair Extensions are "chemical free highlights" . Those who are vary about using chemicals in their hair but still want a change in hair colour, can use these to highlight hair. These usually last 6 to 8 weeks.Extensions can be pre-bonded, glued on, weaved or plaited, bonded or clipped on. As with any product, if Extensions are not applied by someone with professional expertise, they could damage the natural hair.
 
Once you have had Extensions done, here are some home tips to care for them

  • Gently wash hair with a low ph balanced shampoo followed by a light conditioner that is applied only on the ends

  • Avoid using a hot iron on the Extensions

  • Use a soft bristle brush to keep the Extensions tangle free.

  • Loosely tie up hair at night as this reduces tangles.

  • Use a de-tangle spray before removing the tangles after shampooing.

  • Extensions should be washed and dried 2 to 3 times a week.

  • Do not rough dry the hair with a towel as it can cause tangling.
